NOC Engineer (Support Linux Administrator Puppet Nagios TCP/IP). Are you interested in learning new technologies, developing your skills and keeping up to date with the latest developments in tech?
Established digital identification software house is seeking a NOC Engineer to take on an exciting and high responsibility project; helping to build a brand new network operation centre. Your main responsibilities will include; ensuring maximum service availabilty and performance, maintaining hardware and software in the production datacentres and providing support services across the technical teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a modern tech stack, using a range of tools and techniques allowing you to develop your skillset and reach your potential.
With offices based in central London, this is a collaborative and highly technical environment where you can enjoy five fully paid "selfie days" and a large chill out area with table tennis and a football table.
Requirements:
*Strong Linux skills
*Working knowledge of TCP/IP
*Familiar with automation tools (Salt Stack, Puppet or Ansible)
*Knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios or Zabbix)
*Basic understanding of routing and switching
*Virtualization knowledge (VmWare, Xen, Qemu)
*Positive, pro-active approach, able to work on multiple concurrent projects
*Able to work a 24/7 rota, 4x 12 hour shifts (7am to 7pm or &pm to 7am) with 3 days off
*Desirable: AWS, Kubernetes, Mesos, Docker, scripting (Perl, Python, bash), networking, load balancing
As a NOC Engineer you can expect to earn a competitive salary (up to £40k) plus benefits.
