Lead QAT Analyst - London

£53,000 - £65,000 + excellent benefits

We have an exciting opportunity with one of our major government client based in London. They are a leading government agency responsible for various areas including crime, counter-terrorism and the police.

Over the next couple of years they are looking to substantially grow their in-house Testing capability and as a result are seeking a Lead QAT Analyst to join the team.

About the Role

You will be taking a user centred approach to implementing programme or project level quality assurance and testing activities, providing practical, risk-based solutions.

Additional responsibilities;

* Select, deploy and advise on a range of quality assurance and testing approaches and techniques appropriate to specific business problems and requirements including formal test analysis and design and exploratory or experience-based methods.

* Working in collaboration with senior delivery partners in QA, DDaT and more broadly across the organisation or wider industry, to ensure that effective and efficient QAT capabilities are developed and fully integrated into the software development process.

* Application of QAT practices to different technical delivery environments and delivery lifecycles including agile teams and continuous release pipelines.

* Providing technical advice and assurance on the wider application of QAT solutions, influencing the effectiveness and delivery of quality practices throughout the programme.

* Identifying and driving forward the development quality assurance and testing capabilities within the QAT organisation, including continuous professional development and exploitation of new and emerging industry leading technologies

Essential skills required:

To be Lead QAT Analyst, you will need to demonstrate the following essential skills:

* Translating complex or programme level QAT/Development strategies into practical, risk-based quality assurance and testing activities across the delivery lifecycle, ensuring delivery against user needs, technical dependencies and organisational standards.

* Working in a highly technical environment, requiring a broad range of internal and external integration, ensuring the deployment of a broad range of tools and test environment options including open source technologies, automation frameworks and modern platforms.

* The ability to analyse a range of highly complex user needs, business requirements and technical design at programme or service level, to identify or assure test goals, test case specifications and acceptance criteria.

* Ability to apply a depth of knowledge and experience of technical and business domains to a range of complex quality assurance and testing activities.

* Focus on the development of the individual and the wider team through a range of integrated strategies or activities that achieve current business goals, meet future challenges and build a capacity for change.

* Facilitating relationships at senior delivery level, including technical and non-technical stakeholders. Communicating to a range of partners to provide consistent insight into quality assurance and testing activities within the delivery team or across a significant area of delivery
