Contract length: 6 months initial - Likely to extend

Start date: ASAP (They can wait up to 4 weeks if needed)

Our client, a leading e-commerce company in Leeds are looking to recruit 4 contract Java developers to supplement an existing team split over 2 squads. You would be working on a new project that is the next phase in a project where current developers were replacing the legacy systems. This new phase will be around replacing old hubs and developing the tech all around revising and pushing through data.

The client have established themselves as a company who has a modern tech stack, agile environment and collaborative culture. This particular team are dedicated to an agile approach to delivery and use a combination of scrum/kanban but also will adopt best practice towards development (TDD, BDD, clean code).

Experience required for this role

* Solid commercial Java development experience

* Experience building back end systems using Micro-services ·

* Experience with Spring/Spring Boot

* Be used to working in an commercial agile environments

* Experience working in TDD environments - bought into the approach

Desirable experience for this role

* Experience with AP Dynamics

* Experience with concourse or Jenkins

* Experience with Camel, Cassandra or Active MQ

Any experience with AWS and Docker is something they would be very interested in as well.
