This established and dynamic financial services organisation are seeking a professional, challenge orientated and focused Technical Team Leader to enhance their Patching, Applications and Server Side Support services.
As the Patching SME / Technical Lead, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with new hardware and software technologies. The role requires a mixture of technical and people management experience so you can hit the ground running.
Your key functional responsibilities will involve:
Support patching analysts in execution of their duties, specifically:
* Understand patching mechanisms to a sufficient level to allow the team lead to backfill one of the patching analysts if required.
* Understand Tenable to the level required to drive patching analysis and reporting
* Devise and maintain the test plan for operating system and application patching and support resolution of issues as required
* Automate patching as far as possible to achieve patching SLAs
* Perform random patching checks to verify compliance
* Troubleshoot patching and update problems, drive remediation activities and work with security, risk and project teams where required
* Act as an escalation point for patch-related problems
* Own and maintain all patching reporting, dashboards and documentation
* Work closely with the security team to produce agreed patching plan / schedule based on threat to the business and report on progress against plan
* Act as the main interface with third party patching teams and ensure they are operating in line with agreed patch plan/schedule
* Undertake adhoc patching activity in response to abnormal events or activities when required by security team
* Keep appropriate records and update documentation or checklists as applicable
Key technical experience required will involve around:
* Windows Server 2008 and 2012 with Sever 2016 expertise highly desirable
* Active Directory, ADFS, Group Policy
* SCCM 2016, WSUS
* Virtualisation / VMware
* MS SQL & MS Office 365
* Microsoft Windows7, 8, and 10
* MacOS
* IOS
* Ubuntu and SUSE Linux
* SQL
* Adobe creative suite and other Adobe products
* Chrome, Firefox and Safari
* Cisco applications
