As an Application Support Engineer you will be responsible for supporting more than ten thousand client facing applications, with a focus on latency, scalability and performance. You will be supporting the company's production operations by fixing problems, testing and developing tools used for investigation, reviewing standards of software and seeking out ways of improving efficiency in the future. You will own the production environment and be readily available to work alongside other engineers to help tackle load and capacity issues as well as developing code to fix them.

You will be based within an open planned and modern office in the city that has various breakout areas with quieter spaces to focus on your work or to collaborate with colleagues and a large food hall with a huge selection of free food and drinks. You will be provided with a free laptop from day one and have excellent flexible working opportunities (work from home, flexible hours).

Responsibilities:

*Understanding and experience of large-scale production systems

*Excellent troubleshooting skills

*Understanding of UNIX LINUX TCP/IP UDP

*Hands on experience in Python

*Desirable: C++, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Saltstack, Splunk, Perl, Cloud
