A Linux Systems Administrator is desired by my client, a digital marketers located in Oxford. The Linux Systems Administrator will manage the server infrastructure and network to ensure the security and availability of the infrastructure.

The Linux Systems Administrator will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

Key Tasks

Designing and implementing new application features and functionality

Installing, Tuning, Patching, Monitoring and Upgrading servers.

Network and system security.

Auditing security and permissions.

Setup backups, testing on regular basis and disaster recovery provisions.

Maintain documentation of maintenance and upgrade tasks.

The Linux Systems Administrator will work in a Technical Environment consisting of:

FreeBSD, CentOS

PostgreSQL

Perl, Python, Bash

Exim, Postfix, PowerMTA

Nginx, Varnish, Lighttpd, Apache

Nagios, Cacti

LDAP
