HR Data Analyst LOCATION: Preston, Lancashire SALARY & BENEFITS: Attractive salary depending on experience WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:30 - 6 month fixed term contract THE COMPANY: Johnston Press are a leading media company within the UK with brands including The I, The Scotsman, Yorkshire Post, Sheffield Star, and Portsmouth News. THE ROLE: Reporting to the HR Reward and System Director, this role of HR Data Analyst will be fundamental in supporting the delivery of regular and ad-hoc reports and analysis throughout the duration of a complex and fluid project, based in Preston, Lancashire - Work collaboratively with the HR Systems Team with data management relating to systems development, maintaining HR database and basic systems admin - Responsible for managing data accuracy across a range of data sources. - Provide support for the Shared Services team as required. - Maps processes and adds value by recommending process changes or opportunities to increase accuracy and efficiency in data flows and HR administrative processes. - Ensure Data Protection Act (GDPR) is followed. THE CANDIDATE: The HR Data Analyst will have previous experience handling, manipulating and cleaning data in Microsoft Excel and producing reports based on this data. You will have excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal with staff at senior levels. Experience in HR analysis would be desirable as you will be dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information. Key skills and experience required for the HR Data Analyst, Preston, Lancashire role: - Highly competent user of Microsoft Excel and comfortable handling large amounts of data from multiple sources. - Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and troubleshoot inaccuracies. - Strong analytical skills, with good experience of interpreting and producing high quality, accurate management information and insights. - Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with all levels across the business
