Experis are recruiting on behalf of our Client a leading provider of vocational training for an experienced Chainsaw Operative who is qualified to provide guidance and instruction on Chainsaw through a variety of structured courses.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

* Safely plan, prepare and deliver and evaluate chainsaw training for military personnel and, occasionally , civilians

* Delivery ad-hoc training to military and civilian personnel as required

* Prepare course reports for individual trainees

* Prepare and maintain course equipment in readiness for training

* Ensure consumables are available for each course iteration

* Maintain and replenish trainer and trainee PPE as required

* Liaise with Authority to ensure and verify course administration and assistant instructors are in place for each course

* Maintain close links with the training planning function to ensure leave, courses and planned absence are noted to enable accurate course scheduling and that appropriate training areas are booked / approved

* Provide subject matter expertise as requires across customer groups to include support to training design, policy development and safety related issues

* Maintain Chainsaw compound as a safe working environment including upkeep and maintenance risk assessments

* Work alongside other Instructor to ensure workload is shared and undertaken

The successful candidate will be able to display the following skills and experience -

* Qualified to 201, 202 and 203 (Formally CS32 Level)

* Lantra instructor (desirable)

* Able to demonstrate experienced in Chainsaw training delivery, coaching and mentoring

* Able to communicate and empathise with trainees to develop their skills and personality

* Acts is a safe manner at all times

* Ability to influence assertively and build trust with trainees, colleagues and the customer community

* Computer Literate
