Talent Specialist

We have an opportunity for an experienced Talent Specialist to join Experis on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our Employed Consultant team, on site with our client EON, based in Nottingham. The Role

To provide leadership and talent expertise across the end to end Undergraduate Talent Pipeline activity in the UK. This role will implement the early Talent Strategy as it relates to undergraduates to ensure a strong pipeline of talent into E.ON graduate scheme.

The role will be involved from attraction and recruitment to on-boarding and induction and work with line managers to create the right development experience and learning for our undergraduates.

Responsibilities

* Work with UK Talent Centre of Competence, the Talent Team Manager , UK shared Service and Global BSC to deliver the Undergraduate Strategy

* Gather research, market information and competitor information to help support the operational campaign planning.

* Work in partnership with Scheme Leads via the HR Ex Lead and local line managers to capture demand

* Review placement briefs and advice/challenge line managers as necessary to ensure we only advertise placements that will give a great experience for students and give them the best opportunity to fast track to a graduate scheme

* Work with the Employer Brand team to create the undergraduate elements of the attraction campaign and be the point of sign off for undergraduate website pages, media plan, brochure, careers fairs and any other elements of attraction

* Agree the recruitment process for undergraduates with GRS and selection design experts.

* Monitor the delivery of common standards and processes for recruitment

* Create and manage the assessment centre schedule - ensuring line managers provide appropriate assessors

* Train new assessors via teleconference or in person

* Lead the Talent Team Administrator to support the logistics and administration for undergraduates - booking rooms, creating schedules, printing documents, managing SAP finance transactions, advertising roles on university websites

* Facilitate Assessment Centres in Nottingham and Coventry

* Call all candidates with outcome and feedback

* Provides insights on undergraduates for the weekly report and take remedial action as required to keep campaign on track

* Manage 'keep warm' activites e.g. Facebook group to reduce attrition post hire/pre-join

* Lead an induction event for new hires and work with L&D to create the event

* Create a flexible development framework that supports the undergraduates to develop towards the relevant graduate scheme

* Review and update supporting documents for undergraduates and line managers - sharepoint, handbooks etc.

* Support the undergraduates to run Community Days and to build their network

* Educate and support Placement Managers and Mentors on managing/mentoring a undergraduate and be their point of contact

* Provide talent expertise to design and implement fast-track transition from Undergraduate to Graduate scheme and manage the delivery with HR_Ex

* Review and continuously improve the way undergraduates are recruited and developed in E.ON

Required Skills

* Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in HR/OD/Talent

* BPS Level A & B with several different instruments including Wave and OPQ

* Excellent planning and organisational skills

* Strong campaign management skills

* Relevant talent experience in a complex organisation.

* Ability to demonstrate a commercial orientated approach.

* Up to date knowledge of graduate and undergraduate best practice.

* Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills including the ability to challenge and influence at a senior level

* Previous experience of end to end recruitment and development of graduate programmes

* Understanding the organisation and it's nuances

* Understanding of Applicant Tracking system

* Appreciation of Talent within the external market in the energy sector
