Spring Technology are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading Public sector clients.

Our client are looking for a experienced Network Security Engineer for an initial 3 month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Network Security Engineer to have a significant impact on the technology solutions with the clients customers.

You will be supporting networks covering over 500 buildings, including Businesses, Schools and various public service buildings. The successful candidate will need to assist the team with any changes required to support the work and in support of PSN security policies.

This role is inside of IR35.

The experience required for this role is as follows-

*Extensive hands-on experience of configuring and supporting Juniper SRX and Cisco ASA firewalls in a standard and controlled manner.

*Significant hands on experience of Cisco Routing and Switching and Juniper Firewall in an enterprise environment covering Local Area, Wide Area and Data Centre Networking in a multi-tenant environment.

*Experience of IPS/IDS and cloud connectivity and Exposure to Microsoft cloud services and Remote Access Services would be a distinct advantage.

*Experience of working in a controlled service management environment, ideally with ITIL3 exposure

*Public Service Network (PSN) experience

*Hands on experience of Wide Area Network migrations in a multi-vendor environment

*Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels up to and including C level

*Experience of data centre network, wide area network and local area network infrastructure design, provision and support in large, multi-tenant enterprise scale IT, telecoms and networking environments.

*Likely to hold a recognized network engineering accreditation such as Juniper Networks Certified Specialist and Cisco CCNA/CCNP in Routing and Switching

*Expert knowledge of a broad range of networking technologies, protocols, products and suppliers/vendors, including switches, routers, load balancers and firewalls.
