A thriving organisation in Surrey are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team. If you can demonstrate significant object oriented design and programming experience, then you could be the Embedded Software Engineer that we're looking for.

Responsibilities:

As the Embedded Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, coding, debugging, testing and maintaining software for embedded applications, encompassing both low level microprocessor code as well as higher level software designs. Furthermore, you'll be involved in a range of technical activities, working with hardware and software engineers to deliver specific project goals.

This role will include the development and implementation of application logic, peripheral drivers, protocols, human-machine interfaces and documentation of the same

Essential skills & experience:

A seasoned software developer, with experience of a variety of programming languages, technologies and operating systems, such as:

* C experience in an embedded environment

* Experience with low-level device drivers

* Experience of embedded processors and real-time operating systems

* Experience of interfacing with hardware devices and peripherals

* Solid understanding of software development life-cycles and processes

* Experience of requirement analysis, software design and software architecture

* Experience with source control tools such as SubVersion and Git

* Behavioural: self-starting, adaptable, problem solving

Desirable skills:

* Automotive, Aerospace, Aviation, Defence, or Oil & Gas experience
