Manufacturing engineer - Cost analysis

Huxley engineering are recruiting for one of their key clients in the Chippenham area. The company specialise in the design and manufacture of specialist electro-mechanical products within a highly regulated industry. Our client is looking for a Cost Engineer to support both their purchasing & manufacturing functions.

Below are the key responsibilities and requirements in order to qualify for interview.

Professional Experience and / or Qualifications:

* Worked in a manufacturing environment

* Experience of cost modelling of sub-assemblies or components

* Engaged with suppliers

* Lead continuous improvement projects

* Been involved in successful cost negotiations

Key Responsibilities:

* Create cost transparency for purchased parts

* Cost analysis - developing a system/ database

* Optimize costs by choosing the best technology & suppliers

* Support the purchasing team in negotiation with technical expertise

* Lead continuous improvement projects

* Visit suppliers & suggest improvements to their processes

*** This role will involve overseas travel***.
