Do you have experience of supervising or managing a small team of Design Engineers? Do you have experience of designing mechanical moving parts or special purpose machinery? Are you looking for a pivotal role where you will be designing a new range of products for a world leader?

This highly regarded world leading company specialise in the design of high value special purpose machinery which are supplied to range of high profile companies across the world. They offer bespoke design solutions for all of their customers and due to a forthcoming retirement they are looking for a Design Engineering Manager to help them take their business to the next level.

Reporting to the Engineering Director you will lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team designing products for their worldwide market. You will take all new designs from blank sheet, concept through to production whilst maintaining accurate records as these designs are enhanced and tailored to meet specific customer's requirements. You will develop their design practices and processes and the teams skills to ensure their business maintains their position as global leaders.

Therefore this role would ideally suit either a Senior Design Engineer looking to take their next step in their career or an Engineering Design Manager looking to put their stamp on a role and build and grow a team for a well-established market leading business.

The Role:

* Managing a small team of Design Engineers

* Mechanical Design of specialist special purpose machinery

* Design from blank sheet

* New product development

* Redesigning existing machinery

* Using SolidWorks (Training can be given)

* £60,000 plus (DOE) + Profit Bonus + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + Flexible start and finish times

The Candidate:

* Senior Design Engineer or a Design Manager

* Experience of designing high value machinery

* Desire to lead and develop the team

* Experience of full product development life cycle

* Must have experience of any 3D CAD system

* Want to work for a decent company where you will be well looked after
