They currently have a fantastic opportunity for experienced IT engineers in the Castleford area, working for a company that takes a flexible approach to delivering tailored self-service kiosks and systems.

Their Desktop Support Engineer role in the Castleford area is a superb opportunity for someone who is passionate about further improving their hardware knowledge and troubleshooting skills and is keen to continue to increase their desktop and laptop hardware and software knowledge.

This is an opportunity for development that is not to be missed. Day to day duties will involve investigating and resolving faulty PCs and hardware. You will also be responsible for the repairing and cataloguing of incoming faulty stock. In addition, you will also be responsible for maintaining spares kits, using the repaired stock.

Duties include

- Managing RMAs

- Fault finding and problem solving

- Taking and logging incidents alongside first line

- Preparing parts for engineer visits

- Investigating and Responding to incidents in accordance to SLAs

Beneficial Experience

- Desktop imaging and PC builds

- Experience with hardware break fix

- Experience troubleshooting kiosk hardware systems e.g. cash devices, Chip&Pin and thermal printers

- Ability to maintain and organise repaired stock

- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

You will be able to work flexibly and efficiently whilst having a background in various IT systems, hardware, deployments, rollouts and configuration along with a drive and passion to succeed.
