Our client, a multinational biopharmaceutical company, are looking to employ a Network Engineer to join their team based just outside Watford. The role will include, but not limited to, troubleshoot network problems, maintain network performance and maintain the security and the availability of the network to the highest standard. The candidate must be willing to participate in 24/7 on call support rotation.

Required Technical Skills:

* Knowledge and experience with various LAN/WAN technologies, including: IPV4, TCP/IP, QoS, DNS SNMP, OSMP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP and VRRP.

* Global WAN management experience.

* Datacentre level LAN network management

* Cisco/HP switching and routers experience

* Virtualized network

* Knowledge of Wireless Network experience

* Firewall and Network security knowledge (Checkpoint FW preferred)

* Various Carrier technologies (DSL, Cable, Fiber,..)
