Systems Engineer / Bid Support - SC Cleared (GNSS- Galileo, GPS, GLONASS)

3 month initial contract

The technical field of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) (particularly Galileo, GPS, GLONASS etc.) & secured navigation; for this particular need we are looking for people who can present technical material for new bids- good communicators.

* Experience of working on high control projects

* Good verbal and written Technical English communications skills.

* Technical knowledge is available from within the existing team, but the more 'desirable' skills & competencies the candidate has the better.

For one of the positions, the following applies in addition:

An additional requirement for at least one of the Contractors is to have experience of successfully bidding into MOD procurement programmes (in the £10s of millions). Key indicators include:

* Integrated Logistic Support (ILS)

* Assurance & ITEA (Integrated Test, Evaluation and Acceptance)

* Technical compliance

* Defence Lines of Development (DLoDs)

* Requirements Traceability & the 'Golden Thread'

* Technology/System Readiness Levels (TRLs, SRLs)

Experience in all or some of the following:

* Systems Engineering, applied to product development throughout the lifecycle

* Experience of working with GNSS technology.

* Experience of working in a GNSS related role.

* Interpreting customer requirements and develop innovative solutions.

* Requirements capture, design and implementation.

* Working with DOORS™

* Working in a complex security domain.

* Working across a broad spread of technical and project domains, understanding and shaping both the 'big picture' and technical details.

* Engaging with other technical experts and incorporate their input into broader technical solutions.

Knowledge of some or all of the following:

* Navigation system specification.

* Navigation signal processing.

* Navigation processing.

* Other GNSS technologies.

* Multi-sensor navigation.

* Robust navigation techniques (anti-jam, anti-spoof).

* Real Time Kinematic satellite navigation.

* Differential GPS.

* Navigation system implementation.

* ASIC development.

* Engineering design and implementation processes.

* Crypto and key management.

Person Specification:

* Degree in a science, engineering or maths subject or demonstrable equivalent experience.

* Evidence in delivering great results.
