Test Analyst - UNIX, Oracle, Java

We have an opportunity for a Test Analyst to join Experis on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our Employed Consultant team, on a major public sector account. This is a chance to be part of an award winning organisation whose key priority is investing in its people.

Responsibilities

* To understand the main customer drivers for change at each release and the live priorities for the release.

* To understand the drivers and interfaces under test

* Participate/lead test workshops as appropriate

* Demonstrate identification and mitigation of Risk Based Testing(RBT)

* Technical input into project Test Strategies/Plan

* Undertake static testing of project artefacts

* Perform technical test reviews of Test artefacts

* Provide guidance on appropriate test techniques applicable to that project

* Creation of Test Design/Script

* Automation scripting identified where applicable

* Create/validate test data and manage test data within test environments

* Execution of manual/automated tests

* Assuring actual results against expected results

* Raise, track and manage defects including contribution to the Problem Review Forums (PRF).

* Recording Test Evidence.

Essential skills, abilities and behaviours

* Experienced in the use of Unix command language

* Experience in Windows, Oracle, Java, JSON, XML,XSL, TOAD, Maestro, Maestro, Webmethods, Weblogic,Hive, HDFS

* A good knowledge of SQL

* SC Cleared

* An ability to quickly read and understand relevant sections of test basis document.

* Must be driven to achieve demanding targets, and be prepared to work out of hours on occasion to meet the project deadlines.

* ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing Foundation Certified or equivalent

* Time/Work management

* Escalate progress/issues/concerns to the Domain lead/Test Manager in a timely manner so that mitigation could be put in place to achieve the project deadlines.

* Experience in Risk Based Testing
