Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Technical/Solutions Architect for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of c.£500-550/day (inside of IR35) based in Edinburgh.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure that the proposed architecture is appropriate to meet current and future customer requirements.

* Support the creation and evaluation of Invitation to Tender.

* Work with the Project Management and Technical Implementation teams to ensure that the security architecture is appropriate and fully supported.

* Working in the Project Management team to ensure all architectural aspects of customers' requirements are delivered in a timely and coherent manner.

* Perform a wide range infrastructure architectural services.

* Deliver high quality design documentation, impact analysis, design documents to support the project.

* Demonstrate architectural, technical and advisory leadership for the project and effectively communicate the technical and business message.

* Represent the project team at solution design meetings and architectural working groups.

Requirements:

* Security Architecture and Design skills in the deployment of the following technologies: Firewalls, Intrusion Detection & Mitigation, Protective Monitoring, Network technologies, Virtualisation, Windows & Linux Operating Systems.

* Experience in designing service oriented architectures to fulfil complex business requirements.

* Experienced in working to an Architectural Framework e.g. TOGAF, SABSA, OSA.

* Strong solutions design and problem solving skills.

* Deep understanding of at least one of the technology domains that are relevant to their designs. These may cover standards, security, features and products that could and are being exploited.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

* Public Sector experience.

* High level knowledge of data centre environmental facilities including power distribution, uninterruptible power switching systems, generators, air handling equipment, cabling and cable management systems, fire suppression, and security.

* Security Qualifications such as CCP IA Architect, TOGAF, SABSA, CCSK
