Software Developer - Colchester - Up to £40k - .NET, C#, SQL

We're looking for a talented and passionate .NET Developer to join one of our top clients. We are looking for someone who is excited by a challenge and who has the right skills and approach to development.

The successful applicant will be expected to move legacy applications created in VB6 to .NET and will be required to create new applications as required.

They will also have sound knowledge of SQL, preferably VB.NET and have strong communication and analytical skills and will be able to provide and support software from inception to release and beyond.

* Main Role

* Building, testing and maintaining new bespoke applications in .NET

* Migrating legacy VB6 software to .NET

* System analysis, design, testing and implementation

*

* Requirements

* VB.NET preferred though consideration may be given to C#.NET developers

* VB6 knowledge advantageous but not essential

* SQL

* Excellent communication skills

* Strong Design Analysis (understanding user requirements and providing applications based on those requirements)

* Strict, diligent testing practices

* Ability to create user friendly Windows applications

The Benefits- You will receive a competitive base salary of between £30,000 - £40,000, depending on experience. You will also receive an excellent benefits package including 25 days holiday + 8 Bank Holidays.
