Leading Insurer are in the process of searching for a Risk Manager to join their business for a 9 month contract.

Candidates applying should ideally have the following experience:

Risk management experience, ideally covering such topic areas as ERM, risk appetite and stress/scenario testing would be strongly preferred;

* Ideally Actuarial or CFA qualified;

* Maintaining a working knowledge of insurance financial reporting (for example, Embedded Value and IFRS and Solvency II) and remaining up to date with future developments and potential implications

* Knowledge of insurance business/products and regulation;

* Strong communication skills, in particular an ability to summarise and present key messages for senior management and to clearly and concisely explain complicated concept

* Risk assessment and evaluation

* Provide critical analysis, quantitative and qualitatively, of the Group's and business units' risk information

* This will involve annual analysis of business plans (including macroeconomic, strategic, financial, regulatory risks) and assisting in the production of risk assessments for Group Risk Committees and the Board.

* Follow up industry, accounting and regulatory developments that affect underlying methodologies or assumptions.

* Experience of capital modelling (particularly stress and scenario testing) / and experience of assessing strategy for insurers.
