Principal Analog IC Design Eng / Power Management Architect

£65-£75k+ plus excellent benefits

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Principal Analog/Mixed Signal IC Design Engineer to join a successful company involved in high performance Analog/Mixed Signal ICs for the consumer electronics market.

This position would suit someone who has experience in taking specifications and coming up with new architecture on their own. Experience in Analog IC Design for power management including switching converters is essential as well as experience in architecture and systems design.

In this role you will be joining an established team of Analog IC Design Engineers, working within the IP Development team you will be responsible for the design of switching converter (buck/boost, chargers) for large power management circuits in CMOS technology.

Other responsibilities include;

*Drive the continuous improvement of existing power conversion technology

*Innovate to create new power conversion systems and circuits

*Support product definition negotiations and feasibility investigations with the customer

*Define electrical specifications for switching converter solutions

*Supervise less experienced designers and be responsible of the technical quality and on-schedule delivery

*Create high quality documentation

*Interface with other functional teams (layout, digital, test, quality) with any issues related to switching converter blocks

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 8 years experience in; Analog IC Design including; detailed layout, switching converters, controllers: Buck/Boost/Chargers, Linear regulators, charge pumps, bandgaps.

You will be required to work to a high standard and within deadline, be self-motivated and work well in team. The ability to generate continuous innovation for higher performance in power architectures, circuit topologies and IC development methodologies will be a strong benefit.

Excellent communication skills in English is essential. Visa can be sponsored if required, for the successful applicant.
