This company is the governing and regulatory body for British Horseracing. They regulate British horseracing, the UK's second most popular sport and a global industry employing more than 85,000 people directly and indirectly. They are concerned with the overall health, development and growth of the sport, with the welfare of their horses and people a top priority. Their vision is simple: to build a brighter future for their sport, their horses and their people.

A new opportunity has arisen to be a vital member of the Integrity Department as an Intelligence Development Investigator. Reporting to the Head of Intelligence you will be responsible for reviewing and researching all intelligence that is submitted to the intelligence system in order to identify and lead opportunities for proactive interventions. These interventions will take many forms, but can be proactive, preventative or disruptive, and can be either covert or overt in nature.

A significant volume of information is reported to the company which is then graded, linked and submitted into their intelligence system and stored. The Intelligence Development Investigator will be required to maximise the potential value of these information reports through consideration, research and development into intelligence led operations. They will be a skilled investigator with proactive training and competence, with experience of working in an intelligence environment, and capable of developing and leading intelligence led interventions.

Some principle responsibilities of this new role will include the creation of briefing documents with appropriate risk assessments, the ability to conduct social media research and maximise intelligence gathering opportunities from social media platforms, and seek opportunities for the recruitment of Covert Human Intelligence Sources.

Success in this role will come from proven interpersonal skills and leadership skills, a strong work ethic, the ability to communicate clearly and willingness and, when required, to work outside of normal working hours, e.g. evenings, weekends, public holidays. An understanding of Integrity in sport, betting and regulation; knowledge of horses and horseracing; and the proven ability to form and work productively in partnerships will all be advantageous.

As the needs of the business change this role will change accordingly, therefore this document should be viewed as guidelines which are subject to change. They welcome enquiries from everyone and value diversity in their workforce.
