A large and high profile organisation is looking for an application support engineer to support users throughout the organisation on bespoke .net based applications, as well as being involved in software deployments, implementations, testing, scripting.

Working closely with the infrastructure and software development teams, you will be involved in bespoke software application support engineering, analysis, configuration, integration, data loading and service delivery, in addition to general maintenance and application security.

You should have knowledge and understanding of a range of technical disciplines, ideally to include (not all essential):

* Bespoke application support / analysis

* Software testing, debugging, deployment and implementation

* Windows Server / Operating Systems

* SQL Server, any experience with SQL queries / T-SQL would be beneficial

* SCOM / Nagios / Monitoring tools

* Scripting - Poweshell / Perl / Bash / Python

* IIS / XML / CCS / HTML / Apache / Web Server technologies

Above all, the successful candidate will have a natural ability to problem solve and an analytical approach.
