IT Support Technician - Competitive Salary - Middlesbrough
A well-established wholesale organisation, with offices based in a number of locations across the UK are looking to recruit a Support Technician to join their expanding IT team. The primary role of the successful candidate will be providing 2nd line support for numerous software systems and Software Testing.
Role Purpose:
*To provide support for a wide range of software systems both internally and externally.
*Monitor helpdesk tickets, prioritising and reassigning as appropriate.
*Respond directly to user support requests using a variety of methods in an appropriate timescale.
*Support the deployment of new systems.
*Software testing and data analysis.
*Liaise with 1st line service desk where required.
*Liaise with 3rd line developers where required.
Key responsibilities
*Provide support via telephone, email and helpdesk
*Dealing with both internal and external customer support requests
*Provide support for a diverse range of software applications.
*Ensure that your support requests are resolved in an appropriate timescale.
*Assist with system testing and data verification
*Maintain support guides to help with future support requests and product rollout.
*Assist with the development of user self-service guides.
*As required, support other members of the I.T team with departmental projects.
*When required, provide cross-departmental assistance to ensure department's customer receives expected service level.
*Carryout 'out of hours I.T support' in-line with department Rota and with agreed remuneration.
