About the role

We are looking for a Senior Consulting Architect with Delivery, proposition development and sales and marketing experience to join the global professional services portfolio team. The professional services portfolio team is expanding to support a rapidly growing business, this role provides a great opportunity to help define and refine the Digital services propositions that we sell within our core sectors and geographies. You will work with the sales and marketing, capabilities and portfolio and strategy teams to keep our services and solutions on the leading edge of the markets we operate in.

What you'll be doing

The successful candidate will focus on Digital services primarily, but will join a new and growing portfolio team that supports Data and Cyber services and solutions. Your relevant experience will help mature the portfolio management working practices

Our Digital professional services cover consulting led advisory services; Systems Integration and Application Development and Managed IT services. The priority for 2018 will be to focus on refining a set of differentiated proposition that support organisations escape their legacy IT and transition to modern fit for purpose platforms, architectures and processes. Experience within this domain would be beneficial.

On a day to day basis will support the Head of Digital Services with day to day portfolio management activities including:

* Work with technical capability leads to unearth our differentiated capabilities, tools, frameworks and accelerators and ensure these are represented in our propositions

* Work with business unit pre-sales and market insights teams to ensure propositions answer customer and market problems

* Work with Sales and marketing to develop tools and messaging to support our sales managers in selling focused services propositions.

* Feed future requirements into relevant roadmaps and own and deliver work streams within the existing roadmap.

What we're looking for

* A self-starting and motivated Digital Solution Architect with the ability to rapidly acquire the knowledge and skills required to help drive growth in the Digital professional services arena.

* Ability to communicate with a range of internal stakeholders from account managers to strategy directors to influence proposition development activities

* A background in the Enterprise IT/ Digital domain, and a track record of delivering large scale IT transformation projects as well as shaping consulting propositions and contributing to winning new deals.

* Technical and business problem awareness and understanding in Legacy IT rationalisation and transformation plus one or more of the following areas: Digital Strategy, Digital Transformation Management, Cloud Services, Service Management, Agile Software Engineering, Customers Experience Management, Enterprise IT.

* Experience in one or more of the following sectors: Central Government, Financial services Telecommunications; Legal; Technology; Media; Energy; Industrial; and CNI.

* Experience of defining and iterating client value propositions and translating into technical propositions, and a keen awareness of the key technical sales levers and drivers within the Enterprise IT sector.

* Excellent wrote and presentation skills.

* Awareness of the enterprise sales process and cycle.

* Awareness of Marketing best practice
