Citrix Engineer - London - 3 months - £350-£380 per day

Currently looking for a Citrix Engineer to join a leading IT consultancy on an initial 3 month contract in central London. You will be on site with the end client a global financial organisation. You will have excellant communication skills whilst remaining hands-on within the project.

This is an immediate requirement with interviews taking place this week. Your responsibilites will include:

Responsibilities:

* Migration from XenApp 6.5 on Server 2008 R2 to XenDesktop 7.15 on Server 2016.

* Lead and assist the migration team in building the initial infrastructure

* Setup GPOs, groups, account, access, and provide feedback to engineering on issues or problems

* Provide knowledge on optimizations and best practices for peak performance and optimal EUX

* Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.

* Contribute to the functional testing, QA and failover testing of the new platform

* Authoring and updating infrastructure, support and procedures documentation.

You will come from a insurance/financial services background and have extensive experience with the following technologies:

Qualifications:

* Minimum 5+ years' experience supporting a large (200+ Server) Citrix Environment

* Must have experience in upgrade and migration of XenApp in a large environment

* HP Moonshot - fundamental knowledge

* Understanding of installation of physical hardware in the datacenter (cabling, subnets, routing)

* Understanding and experience of App-V application streaming

* Understanding of VMware UEM

* Strong knowledge of the following:

* Citrix XenDesktop 7.15

* Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS)

* Streaming of Windows Server 2016
