I am recruiting for a Full Stack Software Engineer on behalf of a client based in the Cheadle area. The company in question is a leading UK retailer with millions of customers and plans to expand into the European markets. They are a people-first organisation with a reputation for genuinely looking after their employees and that is highlighted by their excellent retention record - something they are hugely proud of and pride themselves on. They promote a healthy work/life balance and have created a highly collaborative company culture free from micro-management and 12 hour days.

But enough about them... as with any job ad, this is all about you. Specifically, what you will be doing should you end up working there.

The role will involve working in a 'full stack' capacity with a focus on product/system development. They are in the process of migrating some of their legacy code over to C#/ASP.NET MVC and the role will also involve greenfield Web/UI development in AngularJS/ReactJS. You will work as part of an Agile development team with a focus on coding standards (SOLID, DRY) and a quality-first approach to software development. Moreover, you will be given the chance to progress up to Team Lead/Architect level should you demonstrate high levels of competency.

In terms of specific technical experience, they would expect you to have knowledge of the following languages/frameworks:

* Strong programming skills in C# and VB.NET.

* Commercial experience building ASP.NET applications (Web Forms, MVC, Web API).

* Experience with JavaScript frameworks including AngularJS and ReactJS.

* Strong database skills with SQL Server/T-SQL and document databases (MongoDB).

* Web experience with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap.

* Experience with Git and Jenkins.

* Understanding of Pair Programming and Test Driven Development.

* Commercial understanding of Automation Testing tools (Selenium).

* Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

In return for demonstrating some (hopefully all!) of the above, you will benefit from a highly competitive salary (£35,000-£45,000) alongside a flexible benefits package including a company share scheme, 25 days holiday and flexible working hours.

Not bad eh?
