COMPANY PROFILE
Exciting, technology company, seeking a talented C#.Net Developer to join their team in the development of their products in the field of control systems, electronics, software, mathematics, servo-hydraulics, materials and structural fatigue testing.
They provide software to control their own in-house servo-hydraulic control system and signal conditioning hardware. The software communicates to the hardware over TCP/IP, presenting the data on a WPF Front end.
In association with a leading international group, based in Germany, they serve a global, specialist market from the UK, through Europe and as far afield as Australia.
TECHNOLOGIES USED
- Heavily C# .Net orientated
- WPF/XAML for the front end
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Minimum 3+ years' relevant C# WPF programming experience
- BSc (Hon) or MSc degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering or other suitable degree, e.g. Mathematics, Physics etc.
LOCATION
Modern office in an attractive rural location in Coventry-Wolston, on the outskirts of Coventry
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
In-depth knowledge and experience in:
- C# .Net
- Multithreading.
- Strong WPF/XAML knowledge with MVVM.
- Expression Blend and WinForms
- Object-orientated programming.
- Source control with GIT
- Experience with Agile, design patterns example SOLID.
- Code optimisation - lean, highly efficient fast code execution.
- A natural flair for attractive UI designs
- Strong mathematical background
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop key components - WPF User Controls, Windows Services etc.
- Maintain existing software.
- Specification, analysis, design, implementation, documentation, testing.
- Strict adherence to time scales and quality standards
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
The following would be an added benefit:
- Command of German language
- Experience with networks
- Engineering background, specifically in materials science.
- Scichart, Matlab
- Electronic Help authoring tools
- Graphics design tools to produce professional GUI images and icons
GENERAL
- Working in a small team, fast-paced small company with limited guidance, using own initiative.
- Permanent leave to work in the UK is essential
- Occasional travel in the UK & abroad
- Driver's license and own car
REPORTING
- Flat management structure
- Report to Technical Team Leader
WORKING HOURS AND BENEFITS
- Normal office hours 08:30 to 17:00
- Occasional working from home can be considered where practical
- Leave the office 15min early on days when participating in any keeping-fit activity
SALARY
£25,000 depending on experience
