Software Engineer for digital solutions company in fantastic Bath location

The Role

As Software Deployment Engineer, you will be part of a team delivering and supporting software systems to the business. The role will involve some travelling to visit customers on site, consult with them and plan and deliver their requirements as appropriate. Responsibilities include:

* delivering / supporting Windows server based software solutions

* understanding or writing queries, scripts, and stored procedures

* troubleshooting websites, application pools, permissions etc.

The Company

Our Bath based client provides specialist software to companies wishing to centralise their document information and improve company processes. They provide solutions for digital mailrooms, accounts payable automation and document management enabling clients to create paperless and more efficient cost-effective working environments. They have an enviable client base across the UK and have strong growth in a new SAAS application that is selling around the world.

The Person

As Software Deployment Engineer, you will be a hands-on person with knowledge of 'all things Microsoft' and the ability to learn and assimilate quickly on the job. With previous experience in a related field, delivering and supporting Windows server based software solutions, you will need:

* experience / knowledge of MS SQL and IIS

* ability to work through code and create basic scripts (.net C# ideally)

* strong verbal and written communication skills

* ability to analyse and resolve problems and issues and find solutions

Some travelling to client sites is required so a full driving licence is essential.
