Assistant Buyer - Entry Level role

Experis are recruiting for our Client a leading Engineering Support Services organisation for an individual to join their team in Bristol to be trained and developed as a Buyer within their procurement and supply chain function.

This role is an entry level position and has a defined career path for those looking to gain a professional career in Supply Chain. Full training and development will be provided and the chance to gain experience from the ground up - this role would suit someone looking to change career or someone looking to take their first role after completing University.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

* Expediting supplier order books in line with Customer requirements

* Liaising with internal departments to ensure any issues are rectified with Customer Orders

* Support supplier relationship activities both with the external supply chain and internal customers

* Ensure compliant and accurate data is updated within the system

* Carry out annual supplier assessments in line with Company due diligence procedures

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

* Have prior experience in a Customer Service role (Contact Centre, Hire Company, Etc) or some experience in a supply chain administration post

* Must be IT literate - able to use MS Excel, Outlook and able to pick up new systems quickly

* Willingness to study towards professional MCIPS certification in time, in line with career progression plans

* Must be able to follow process accurately

* Good communication skills, able to build strong relationships

* Ability to assess and prioritise tasks effectively to ensure Customer demand if fulfilled on time and in full

* Must be able to meet the criteria to gain and maintain UK SC level Security Clearance
