Financial Analyst (Financial Control)

Market Rate (initial 3-6 months)

We are looking for a Financial Analyst (Financial Control) for a financial services company based in the City of London.

The ideal Financial Analyst (Financial Control) will have extensive experience in a Financial Control team and assisting with processing supplier invoices, journal posting, month- end reconciliations & other financial control activities.

Any experience with either SUN, IPOS or Hyperion accounting systems would be a distinct advantage.

Skills

*Good knowledge of reconciliations, issue resolution and sound control account disciplines

*Experience of operating accounting systems, preferably SUN, IPOS and Hyperion

*AAT/part qualified accountant

*A continuous improvement mind set

*Excellent attention to detail

*Experience of working in a busy Finance department

*Minimum of intermediate Excel and Word skills

*Good understanding of payment types and systems

Role

*Logging and matching of invoices in IPOS

*Monitor the Payables mailbox

*Dealing with supplier and staff queries on invoices promptly

*Processing reimbursement of staff expenses

*Set up suppliers in SUN and IPOS within SLA agreed with Procurement

*Ensure queries are dealt with professionally

*Provide support for the month-end activities including journal processing and posting

*Providing cover for daily bank accounts reconciliation

*Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts at month end
