Position: Team Lead Developer

Location: North Manchester

Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 per annum

Job type: Permanent

Looking for more of a developer who can help lead a team of people.

The post holder will be responsible for the following:

Proactively defines and implements our development and technology strategy, application architecture and component design as well as our engineering principles, practices and standard.

Oversee the execution of engineering work streams and/or projects to quality and timeline in order to meet the demands of the business, stakeholders and customers alike

Maintain a high standard of engineering quality within the whole team. Review work by others across teams in software development to ensure quality and consistency of all work.

Promote agile principles and practices whilst working with other developers, scrum masters, architects, business analysts and project managers across multi-disciplined team.

Present technical solutions for review by various functions including technical architecture, business analysis & product management.

Lead innovation within and across teams to meet the changing demands of the business and emerging industry trends & standards, such as agile and lean techniques.

Skills & experience:

Possess a degree level qualification or equivalent in software engineering or related discipline.

Practiced agile software engineering methodologies and processes with a high level of experience defining and implementing software through the software development lifecycle.

8+ years experience in the software development industry.

Gained professional qualifications around technology and process to fulfil the role (e.g. Microsoft Certification)

Expert technical design and strong architectural skills and experience.

Expert level programming skills and competence in relevant languages and technologies (e.g. .Net, C#, SQL Server, BI, WFP, WCF, Delphi, Messaging).
