Looking for an elite engineer to join our small team. Initial 6 month contract.

Windows - Exchange - VMWare - Documentation - Cyber Security - Hosted/Cloud/Office365 - RMM - DR & Business Continuity - Mobile - Networking LAN / WAN

Your primary role will be for one of our clients, as the sole IT person onsite. The building has approx. 60 users over 5 floors. You will be providing BAU support to Traders and other staff, as well as helping with infrastructure projects.

This is an ideal role for someone looking to move into servers/infrastructure, as well as all you seasoned infrastructure engineers. Day to day it will be predominately desktop/network support, and infrastructure/server maintenance.

You will need to be able to work on your own initiative, as the primary/only tech person onsite. Although, there will be a small team available for any escalation remotely.

Essential Skills;

- Strong knowledge with Active Directory, MS Exchange / Office365, Windows Servers and Windows 7 and above.

- Good Networking knowledge LAN / WAN, TCP/IP with comprehensive hands on experience in firewalls, routers, switches etc.

- Confident within virtualisation with a working knowledge of either VMware or Hyper-V.

- MCSE, MCSA, CCNA and CCNP or other IT qualifications.

- Server hardware assembling/upgrading, Raid configuration and rack mounting.

- Minimum 5 years IT work experience.

- Documentation skills - network diagrams etc.

- Excellent customer facing skills, telephone manner, friendly and patient.

- Good communication (both verbal and written) and organisational skills.

- Ability to priorities tasks/calls

- Setup and configure various software, saas, cloud products.

- Installing, configuring and supporting various IT security products and systems.

- hardware and software faults

Remuneration - up to £30p/h (£240/day)

Hours: 40-hour week

Mon to Fri: 8.45am till 5.15pm
