Software Engineer, ASP.NET, SQL Server (Cutting edge use), Back End Developer

A Software Engineer is required to lead the way technically for a Software Company that prides itself in its technical capabilities, particularly with SQL Server. In fact, the Developer will be using all the latest versions (and sometimes unreleased versions) of SQL Server, and on occasion work directly with Microsoft on feature development of releases of SQL Server.

Day to day, amongst the free massages and free breakfast, the Software Engineer will be working on engines that sit at the back of some really interesting websites and software. Some of these products are developed in house, whilst others will be created by external clients who sit the software on the engine you have helped create.

Apart from the high level SQL Server skills, the Developer / Software Engineer will be working with latest versions of .NET, ASP.NET and C# and utilise T-SQL, Winforms and other tools from the MS Stack - all within an Agile Development environment.

So, ideally the .NET Software Developer / Engineer will have:

           Experience working on large scale internet projects

           Experience with Winforms or ASP.NET (Maybe MVC)

           Experience leading teams (technically or managerial)

           T-SQL/SQL Server experience (or want to work at this on a very high level)

           Performance tuning skills and some DBA knowledge

           Experience with multi-threaded applications

           Experience working with web/cloud or internet-focused projects - most likely using Azure, but open to any cloud technology

           Experience with Cruise control, Git, Nunit and/or Powershell or anything similar

This Software Engineering role would be ideal for a Developer who is looking for their next senior role in Oxford. Perhaps you are already experienced at leading teams - if so, great, you can walk straight into the role. It could be that you are looking to step up from a pure development role and start working in management/lead roles - if so, then great, this would also be for you.

This Software Developer role is based in South Oxford and would be ideal for anyone based in Cowley, Headington, Wallingford, Thame, Kidlington or anyone from the towns surrounding Oxford, such as Abingdon, Witney, Didcot, Bicester or Banbury.
