The close-knit team at this energetic Edinburgh IT Managed Services firm seek an enthusiastic and trustworthy IT Support Technician to join them.
You will join a small helpdesk team who are not just confined to their desks but also visit clients at their own premises.

Their bright modern office is next door to a park beside the Water of Leith, offering an opportunity to stretch your legs during your lunch hour.
There is parking nearby and the office is close to bus and tram services.
What to expect from the role
- You will be responsible for effectively resolving technology problems from the office and on-site at clients in Edinburgh.
- You will be visible, accessible, and accountable; this is a role for someone who enjoys meeting people.
- You will be skilled in managing of Office 365 and other cloud technologies. You will also work with Active Directory, firewalls, and internet access services.
- You will be expected to pass Microsoft and other training courses.

- You will be supported by your colleagues, and will be expected to support them in turn.
- As you progress, there will be opportunities to specialise in an area of technology or eventually move into Service Management.
Core responsibilities:
- Provide remote and on-site hardware and software support
- Ensure all network issues and support calls are accurately logged, prioritised and comply with Service Agreements
- Resolve issues directly for end users
- Carry out on-site Service Visits; prepare reports and discuss with clients
- Install IT hardware and software
- Adhere to commercial cost and time constraints
The ideal candidate
You will have strong recent experience of:
- Microsoft technologies including Office 365 and PowerShell
- security and distribution groups
- system configuration and testing
- backups and business continuity
- working with computer users and their managers
A university or college education will be useful, and perhaps you would now like more job variety than your current organisation can offer.
You will bring a dynamic and enthusiastic approach when you join this hard-working team. Recording your time will be second nature, and you will have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
