Based in their Dublin City Centre office, one of my best clients, is seeking to expand their team with the addition of a Scrum Master. With a specific focus on their Data and analytics platform utilising some of the most sophisticated models and 'big data' solutions in the industry, the successful candidate will thrive in a great, technologically superior environment where individual autonomy, responsibility and drive are recognised and supported. The nature of their business demands high levels of agility, which in turn requires their team to be technically superior. You will have a track record of working with diverse technical environments and platforms. You will be a crucial link between the developers and the product owners and help this company shape the future of their technical solutions.
You will be responsible for facilitating close collaboration between our Product Owners and the delivery teams in the engineering organisation. You will ensure that the engineering teams provide timely insight and full transparency into their progress, working closely with those teams to help them operate at their most effective level. You will operate as a servant leader to the engineering teams, facilitating and mentoring to support agile adoption and offering strong leadership where necessary to help those teams meet their delivery commitments and goals. You will be an integral member of the engineering team responsible for providing though leadership on agile adoption and continuous improvement.
Key Skills needed for the Scrum Master
Strong experience as a Scrum Master
Have a thorough understanding of Scrum methods and have a genuine interest in expanding your expertise in this area
You will have facilitated Scrum ceremonies with a number of teams
You will have worked closely with highly technical teams facilitating their day to day work
You will have engaged, mentored and educated on agile topics and will be familiar with agile methodologies beyond Scrum.
You will have worked with Product Owners to prioritise and groom backlogs and build sprint plans.
Support and educate the Product Owners, especially with respect to maintaining the product backlogs
You will have managed multiple scrum teams simultaneously
Your exceptional communication skills make you an engaging individual who can integrate easily with teams of all sizes
You are an excellent multi-tasker who thrives in fast paced environments
You have coached teams to higher levels of Agile maturity
