Role: Unix Developer (DevOps)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Southend
Duration: 3-6 months
You will also work within a highly technical environment and you must be able to work under pressure meeting legislative and ministerial dates. You must be capable of using your own initiative to make decisions and ultimately achieve objectives.
Tasks:
* You will also be working within a server environment using a mix of Solaris, AIX, RHEL and CentOS, with a small number of Windows.
* Working within the Platform team responsible for the administration of physical and virtual systems in a DevOps Sys Admin role
* Working on specific, targeted projects to deliver consistent, maintainable solutions Addressing incident tickets & service requests from internal customers and performing the necessary troubleshooting and remedial work to fix issues
* Assist other members of the Platform team sharing your skills and knowledge to ensure a coherent and standard approach is maintained in building and supporting Analytics, Reporting and Risking services
* Produce and maintain documentation on collaboration environments for systems and services.
* Provide a mix of level 2 and level 3 technical support and diagnostic assistance to support and development colleagues; Management and monitoring of systems to ensure that issues are quickly identified and resolved providing pre-emptive and reactive maintenance.
* Writing Shell scripts for file transfer, validation and processing.
