Job Summary:

My client is currently undertaking a significant project to replace it's core financial systems with a new solution solution. This is a unique opportunity for the client to modernise its business processes, to streamline how things are done and to demonstrate quality and value for money. This is a key role in the "Functional lead" layer of the project team and the solution delivered will have a significant impact in terms of time, efficiency and cost.

The Finance System is highly integrated with other business systems. The role of the Integration Developer (New finance system) reports directly to the Project Board via the Technical Lead, is the primary focal point for the design and development of a specific set of these integrations. The integrations will be examined on a case-by-case basis to establish the optimal solution moving forward.

The role will be expected to work independently under the direction of the Project Governance, be professionally accountable to the Finance Director and liaise with key stakeholders across the business.

- Good general IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office software suite.

- Strong experience of working with Oracle database 11g and/or 12c.

- Experience of working with other databases e.g. SQLServer.

- Experience of Oracle PL/SQL with ability to develop efficient and effective scripts and stored procedures.

- Strong experience of SQL with ability to write and understand complex queries.

- Experience of developing and supporting integration or ETL processes.

- Experience of working with XML or JSON documents, or delimited files format.

- Experience of developing against web services and/or APIs.

- Experience of documenting logical and physical data models.

- Knowledge of data quality principles and techniques.

- Familiarity with PRINCE2, Agile, or other formal project management methodologies.

- Knowledge of ITIL or other best-practice service management and control.

- Experience of working with application vendors and external suppliers.

- Previous experience of working on Finance System projects.
