Project Manager (Agile / PCI / Java)

We are actively looking to secure a Project Manager to join Experis as one of our expert consultants, delivering services to our clients.

Who you'll be working with

Based in Leeds, the Technology team is one of the largest technical hubs in the UK, it's a strategic location for our business and offers a vibrant place to live and work.

The new teams have a real 'start up' feel and there's loads of room for development. You'll have the chance to use cutting edge tools and technologies to create rich user experiences; all whilst working in an Agile environment.

As part of the Technology team you'll work to deliver and support the online services that encourage online customer management and self-help.

Your key responsibilities

* Define and manage clear project scope, and utilise change management controls and processes to ensure that any change is dealt with appropriately, communicated at the highest level and agreed by all stakeholders.

* Take direct accountability for stakeholder management for all deliveries, create and maintain high quality relationships with project stakeholders.

* Collaborate with the Product Owner to maintain a strategic product roadmap that identifies deliverables and milestones.

* Identification of and management of issues and risks that may impact the delivery

* Taking responsibility for the direction of the project. Ensure that teams are working together and that any escalated issues within the teams are dealt with.

* Working closely with business stakeholders directly, to review the level of benefits realisation of the project, undertake post closure project reviews, capturing and sharing lessons learned.

* Working with the relevant functions to specify the resource requirements for each stage of the project and ensure these can be provided from Development, Infrastructure and Operations, Testing and business stakeholders as required.

Essential skills

* Delivery orientated and pragmatic - have an understanding of the theory of Agile project management, but also understand what it takes to deliver. You will need to be able to come up with pragmatic solutions to ensure delivery

* Adaptive - able to adapt styles or the level of working depending on what is appropriate at the time

* Used to working in a collaborative feature team environment

* The ability to detect and resolve problems

* Experience of working in client focused / business roles

* Experience of managing projects within a corporate organisation from initiation through to full project acceptance

* Proven stakeholder management experience

Desirable skills

* Experience working within PCI

* Experienced in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)

* Experience working on Java/JavaScript applications

* Experience working with teams in multiple locations
