2nd LINE SUPPORT ENGINEER - EDINBURGH - 3 MONTH CONTRACT

Our Edinburgh based client currently require an IT professional to join them to assist in providing 2nd line support on an initial 3 month contract.

Our Market Leading Client are seeking a passionate and driven individual to take on the role of 2nd Line Infrastructure Support Engineer. Within this role you will be providing incident resolutions in a customer service style environment via telephone, email and remote support applications. You will need to be a proactive individual, with an end user focused approach and have a strong understanding of various aspects of IT.

For this role you must have:

* Previous experience in a similar support position

* Ability to identify and resolve issues, whilst providing exemplary customer service

* Personable nature, with great communication skills

* Solid grasp of networking operating systems and hardware

* Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft products

* Previous experience within supporting end user platforms (Linux, VDI, etc..)

* An understanding of VMware or other virtualisation tools

* ITIL qualification
