Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

£40'000 - £50'000 + Training, Development, Technical Progression and Company Share Options.

Hertfordshire (Commutable from: Cambridge, Stevenage, Luton, Bury St Edmonds, Bedford, St Neots, Welwyn Garden City, Harlow)

Rare and Exciting opportunity on offer for a mechanical design engineer, looking to join an expanding, innovative company where you play a huge role in the development and growth of the business.

Do you have experience of working with SolidWorks? Do you have experience of taking a product from design through to manufacturing?

This company design and manufacture domestic appliances, and are on the edge of developing a brand new cutting edge product. In order to finalise this product, they need an additional senior mechanical design engineer to join the team.

In this role you will work closely with other mechanical engineers on the full concept to manufacturing process. The key deliverables are to make the transition from design to manufacturability, improve reliability and improve the aesthetics of the product. This is an exciting and hugely varied role that offers masses of autonomy.

The ideal candidate will have a strong design background either with a mechanical bias or product design with a focus on manufacturing with key achievements in taking products through the full life cycle. You will want to work for an ambitious start-up company in a role that will evolve over time.

The Role:

* Mechanical Design Engineer

The Person:

* Strong Mechanical/Product design experience

* Experience of taking products from concept through to manufacture

* Extensive experience with SolidWorks/ 3D CAD

* Ambitious, Entrepreneurial and keen to work for a start-up
