£24000-£27000 + Training + Pension + Progression + 25 days plus bank holidays

This leading engineering company are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to join their workshop team. The work is varied and would be appreciated by an individual who has a well-rounded knowledge/appreciation of an array of electrical systems.

You will be working on an array of specialist vehicles that have a range of transducers fitted, such as load cells, accelerometers, lasers, temperature sensors, shaft encoders, GPS etc. The other electrical systems broadly consist of power supply systems (DC from vehicle batteries) plus some AC from on-board inverters. There are also computer systems, electrical winches, contactors, motors, pumps and solenoid valves.

Candidates will need a knowledge of typical interfacing (4-20mA, ADC, Ethernet, etc.) and good wiring and soldering skills.

The role:

*Maintenance of electrical systems which are mounted onto specialist vehicles.

*Examine/fault find and repair these systems from an electrical perspective- This may include some cabinet wiring and wiring along the vehicle chassis via conduit.

*Report to workshop manager.

*Normal working hours are from 08.00am to 17.00pm (Monday to Thursday) and 08.00am to 16.00pm on Friday

The person:

*Soldering skills.

*The ability to follow technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams

*Knowledge of electrical safe isolation procedure and safe working practices

*Wiring and soldering to IPC 610/620 class3

*Knowledge of typical interfacing (4-20mA, ADC, Ethernet, etc.).
