System Design Analyst - Permanent - Cheltenham - £32-34K

Huxley Engineering are looking for a permanent System Design Analyst for a Hi Tech company in the Cheltenham area.

Responsibilities:

1 a) Take ownership of a set of systems to be emulated or part of a project, as defined by the System Design Analyst Manager, and retain ownership of those systems throughout their emulation life cycle.

2 b) Under the direction of the System Design Analyst Manager, develop assumptions for those systems, to include: system limitations, fault lists and interfaces with other systems.

3 c) Design and write a specification to fully describe the system in logical/electrical terms, liaising with aircraft/product manufacturers when required overcoming ambiguities in source material.

4 d) Collaborate with other System Design Analysts and Software Engineers to ensure that the system will interface correctly with other systems.

5 e) Assimilate all graphical information required to operate the system within the Graphical User Interface (GUI).

6 f) Oversee the production of the system by Graphic Artists and Software Engineers.

7 g) Assist Test Engineers, as required, in the integration and testing of the system.

8 h) Provide a point of contact for all queries pertaining to the systems that have been specified.

9 i) Assist the System Design Analyst Manager, as defined by the System Design Analyst Manager, to undertake additional more senior activities such as acting as analyst lead on a programme, providing guidance to more junior analysts and supporting product demonstrations and bids.
