Integris Solutions is a deployment services organisation which focuses solely on providing products and services to the NHS and healthcare system providers. All of our staff have extensive experience deploying a wide variety of PAS/EPR and Informatics solutions.

Integris has designed and developed the Integris Data Suite (IDS) which comprises of a number of modules including the IDS: Data Warehouse and the IDS: Data Migration Module. The IDS is used to provide data for NHS reporting and to support the development of IFFs for migration of Legacy data into modern PAS/EPR solutions.

Role Overview:

The role assumes applicants will specialise in data migration or information, however knowledge of both would be beneficial.

The primary tasks for the Data Migration role is responsibility for the extract and transformation of Legacy data into supplier IFFs, including management of data quality issues and configuration mapping in partnership with configuration teams. There may also be a requirement to develop and support loading into Legacy data viewers (archive solutions). The post holder may be required to lead or work as part of a team, reporting into the Project Manager of the deployment project.

The primary tasks for the Information role is responsibility for implementing the IDS: Data Warehouse, in many instances importing data from multiple source systems, and for developing ETL routines to populate the standard data model within the IDS: Data Warehouse. This will include the further development of the data model to address client needs to expand the current model to enhance the scope of data for analytics and reporting. There may also be a requirement to assist clients in transforming their existing reports and dashboards to run against the IDS: Data Warehouse data model. In addition, the Informatics Specialist may provide support and guidance to NHS information teams and/or system suppliers implementing alternative data warehouse and information solutions.

Responsibilities:

                                                                                                Engage with key stakeholders within the NHS and supplier teams to develop the data migration/information strategy, approach and scope

                                                                                                Work with project management teams to develop detailed plans for delivering data migration/information activities in line with the strategy and approach and the wider project plan (if appropriate), identifying dependencies across all elements of the project

                                                                                                Track and report progress against the plan including appropriate identification of risks and issues. Manage escalations and provide options to mitigate issues identified

                                                                                                Identify data sources for population of IDS: Data Warehouse and/or IDS: Data Migration module

                                                                                                Develop ETL routines and/or amend existing ETL routines (part of the standard IDS toolkit) to import data into the IDS: Data Warehouse

                                                                                                Develop (or modify existing) routines for the generation of data in line with IFF specifications provided by PAS/EPR system suppliers

                                                                                                Document specifications and manage sign off of key decisions with appropriate stakeholders

                                                                                                Develop and execute test plans to validate population of the data warehouse/migration of data into target systems

                                                                                                Development and support of end user reports, dashboards and dataset extracts from IDS: Data Warehouse using SSRS.

                                                                                                Transfer of existing reports/dashboards to new IDS: Data Warehouse environment

                                                                                                Maintain a functional knowledge of National Data requirements and reporting

                                                                                                Contribute to the improvement of Integris Solutions' current product range and development of new products

Experience:

                                                                                                3+ years' experience in a data migration role and/or experience in an informatics role within a health information environment (preferably NHS Trust or other healthcare provider)

                                                                                                Fully conversant with the NHS Data Model and Statutory Reporting in the NHS

                                                                                                In-depth knowledge and understanding of Healthcare Information Systems with proven experience of working in a successful data migration/reporting project, involving one or more of the following solutions:

                                                                                                Experience of using and developing scripts/reports/dashboards in Microsoft SQL, including SSIS/SSRS

                                                                                                Advanced user of Microsoft Office including Access and MS Excel

                                                                                                Knowledge/experience of Microsoft SharePoint Server, HL7, VB.NET, Database admin, SSAS would also be an advantage

                                                                                                Technical document writing and/or Visio

                                                                                                Experience of working in a consultancy role with a variety of stakeholders across the Trust

Skills:

                                                                                                Excellent T-SQL ability in both data manipulation and data definition languages

                                                                                                Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and above including SSIS and SSRS.

                                                                                                Database administration/optimisation

                                                                                                Desirable: HL7 Interface design and development of data specifications, VB.NET

                                                                                                An in depth understanding of the issues involved in data migration e.g. configuration item mappings, data field mappings, unique identifiers, patient pathways, de-duplication etc.

                                                                                                Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills

                                                                                                Ability to build relationships at all levels within a Trust environment, including the ability to engage with clinical and operational staff

                                                                                                Presentation skills both orally and written

                                                                                                Excellent problem solving and analytical skills

                                                                                                Strategic and pragmatic approach to problem-solving and planning

                                                                                                Operate within project constraints ensuring that milestones and delivery dates are met

                                                                                                A good team player, working collaboratively at all times

                                                                                                A highly motivated individual that consistently strives to achieve the objectives of the project

                                                                                                Able to work away from home and willingness to travel is essential
