Central Compliance Officer

A Compliance Officer is required for a bank based in London to be an integral part of their Central Compliance function.

This role sits within a small team focusing on Compliance Ethics and Breaches that occur across the bank. The Central Compliance team (where this team sits) is part of a much wider compliance function.

You will have 3-5 years of working experience, ideally in a central compliance or other compliance capacity and is keen on moving into a role focusing non-material, low level breaches across the bank. Your role is look at the breach against the internal policy and take it up with the relevant parties. These are difficult conversations so you will need great communication skills.

In addition to the BAU work surrounding Breaches, you will be required to help the manager in leading the team and taking ownership of work in their absence.

There are a number of initiatives which you will be involved in from working with technology teams to improve internal systems to being part of committees.

This is a great role for someone who is interested in moving into compliance with a background in conflicts or non-material breaches or someone already in compliance looking for a change.

Experience across Professional Ethics Compliance including Personal Account Dealing, Outside Business Interests, Gifts and Entertainment and Conflicts of Interest Management is highly desirable.
