My leading client is looking for a Java Developer/ Software Engineer - Core Java to work with leads/management/architects to scope-out and define new product features for a leading financial services software services company. You will be tasked with the following responsibilities
* Clarification of requirements and planning of phased deliveries
* Collaborate with other teams, including QA, other Engineering teams and Production Support to release software
* Design ownership
* Propose and introduce new technologies where appropriate
* Rapid prototyping of new solutions and technologies. Good hands on coding skills are essential.
* Implementing and refining formal products
* Documenting features and presenting them to a variety of internal audiences -
Technology
* Core Java and multithread programming in a Linux environment
* RDBMS - SQL
* NoSQL
* Messaging frameworks (for example: JMS, Active MQ or other)
* Python or other scripting languages
* Source code control - Git
Desirable Tech
* Spring
* System architecture
* SOA frameworks
* AWS (Amazon Web Service)
* NoSQL (for example: MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)
* Open-source frameworks / technologies
