Software Engineer - Scientific, Algorithm Development, Start-up

A Software Engineer is required to join a rapidly growing expanding software R&D team in Oxford. The Software Developer will gain an excellent opportunity to make a big impact throughout the biosciences community through innovative and disruptive scientific software applications.

This Software Engineer role is available to Graduates with excellent training provided within the role; and experienced Software Engineers are also highly encouraged to apply!

The Requirements

The Software Engineers will be expected to bring:

                                                   A University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline

                                                   A good understanding of one or more programming language (e.g. C++, Python, Java, C, C# etc.)

                                                   A strong and collaborative work ethic

The Role

The Software Developers will have the opportunity to join any of three teams, and switch to another team if they choose!

The three primary teams include:

                                                   Cloud Platform Development

                                                   Desktop Application with GUI Development

                                                   Data Analytics tools with machine learning (e.g. SciPy, NumPy, SciKit-Learn)

Their current technology stack includes C++ and Python, however these are not pre-requisite skills required of candidates!

The Software team is now working to produce the tools to build an open and highly accessible scientific community platform; alongside improving functionality in data analysis and automation.

The Software Developer will be joining at an incredibly exciting time within the company, with a major re-investment in the software teams from impressively strong revenue across 2017.
