Senior IT Security AnalystOur client who are a leading UK financial services company based in Birmingham are currently looking for a Senior IT Security Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. The job purpose is to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the clients network and information systems by the delivery of Cyber Security Strategy and the performance of IT security-related operations, including threat intelligence, vulnerability management, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) monitoring, Data Loss Prevention and related investigations.Skills required:

'€¢Preferably a minimum 3 years experience in an IT security or technology-related role where security was paramount. '€¢Good practical knowledge of IT security monitoring tools / SIEM solutions.'€¢Experience of IT testing tools, including but not limited to vulnerability scanners, data discovery and network auditing. '€¢Ability to identify and implement areas for improvement following Change Control and IT governance practices.  '€¢Credible and able to communicate with employees at all levels.'€¢Good understanding and use of of IT/Cyber/Information Security control frameworks, such as ISO27001, ITIL and or Cobit.'€¢People facilitation skills.'€¢Ability to apply general / commercial awareness, specifically in the areas of security and IT services.'€¢Ability to communicate technical data to a non technical audience.'€¢Hold or working towards a recognised Technology/Security/Testing qualification, e.g. Security+, CISSP, CCSP, CEH. The advertised vacancy is a practical role within the IT department. The ability to qualify experience and demonstrate practical competence is held equally important as qualifications.
