Lead Data Architect (Existing SC Clearance Required), Central Government, London, 24 Months

Our Central Government client based in London is recruiting for a number of Data Architect roles. The role requires SC level Security Clearance.

You will work as part of a Technical Design Authority who are responsible for specific domains.

They will need to collaborate closely with delivery teams in a multi-supplier environment.

Our client is moving from a large outsourced SI arrangement to an in-house, largely cloud based and open source based solutions delivered iteratively. Legacy technologies inc Oracle and Tibco. Strategic technology stack is based on Microservices architecture including Java, Node JS, ELK, Postgres, MongoDB, AWS, Puppet, Chef.

Responsibilities

1 Define the target and transition data architecture

2 Define data architecture principles and standards

3 Act as Architecture owner on strategic Data projects

4 Define key technology choices for the data domain (e.g Databases)

5 Elaborate and maintain current baseline integration architecture

6 Define and maintain target integration architecture

Key Skills / Experience

* Have in-depth experience of defining and implementing target and transition architectures for Mission critical legacy transformation projects

* Experience of Big Data technologies and strategies

* Proven experience of defining data transformation and migration strategies and architecture for Business Intelligence solutions

* Experience of defining solutions for commodity Cloud hosting of mission critical services
