About the Company

My Client, an e-commerce marketing/telecommunications company, specialise in handling calls on behalf of businesses. They have won the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For multiple times, with their HQ receiving the Best Corporate Workplace at the BCO Awards for 2017. They have also recently refurbished their HQ, where every tiny detail has been thought of, from picturesque views, homely surroundings, open plan feel, on site cafeteria, places to relax and places to have fun.

About the Role

My Client are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and is passionate about data and databases. The successful candidate will take ownership of the data, ensuring it is accessible and supports business processes and decisions, working primarily with their data sets in MySQL databases and developing their BI system to be self-servicing.

Responsibilities

* Assisting other teams to help them build the reports and dashboards they need.

* Understand the data through and through. Be the data analyst when other teams can't pull the data they need themselves. Code custom automation where SQL-only solutions are not sufficient.

* Initiate a new project to develop a data warehouse to consolidate all of their ata sources.

* Build the ETL process, writing own scripts when needed (with data integrity a priority), gracefully handling updates, merges and timeouts at scale.

* Initiate a new project to integrate their data into a CRM, working with Marketing to ensure the system meets their requirements.

* Support Marketing and the CRM system to allow for full marketing automation

* Create views as required to support the development team and the wider business data requirements.

* Collaborate in the design of new databases to support new products and processes.

Key requirements

* Proven working experience as a data analyst.

* Flexibility to travel to London occasionally.

* Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

* Technical expertise in writing queries and extracting data from disparate sources.

* Proven experience working with a language to manipulate data outside of SQL (eg. ruby, python)

* A fiend for automation

* The most important thing is the ability to understand a problem, select the right tools for the job, and to deliver accurate results in a timely fashion.

* You will be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to manipulating and analysing datasets; a background in a numerate discipline and a good grasp of statistics will help.

Benefits and How to Apply

My Client offer the following:

* Childcare vouchers

* 22 days holiday rising to 25 after 4 year

* Birthday day off (ie additional day of holiday on or near the date
